Kim,
I am so happy to hear that things are moving forward for you and Envision. It's a great company with an amazing product and I REALLY look forward to your new cleansing product (when will that be released?)! I've returned from my summer travels and yoga adventures and quit my job! yeah! I'll be teaching at two Universities part-time and taking a few classes, and hopefully teaching some yoga too. Hopefully we can find a way to meet up soon. I would love to see you. I hope you're well and smiling and, again, congratulations on all your success!
Much Love, Om, Om,
Leslie

Hey Annie,

Rock on! That is so awesome that you are into the kale salad now, which is one of my staple meals that I too each most every day. You can also try mixing different kinds of kale for variety.
Also, my favorite sprouts right now for the kale salad are sunflower sprouts, which can currently be found everywhere. They are strong and happy sprouts, full of life force.

Thanks for joining the community and hope to hear from you again!

Kimberly,

Love your blog!

I was introduced to Nutritional Yeast by your kale salad recipe and, holy hanna, I am CRAY-ZEE in love with it. I've been on a summer-long salad binge, and so I eat it just about every day. As soon as I open the container and get a whiff, my mouth starts to water. Good thing it's so nutritious.

Many Thanks!

Hi Babycobalt-
Yes, fish are very much meat. With higher and higher levels of mercury and toxins found in wild fish, and as the overfishing of many kinds of fish has led to farmed fish which are oft fed the same sort of steroid and hormone laced corn feed we feed factory farmed animals, it is increasingly a stretch to call fish "health food."

Fish (oilier varieties, salmon, etc.) have been lauded for healthy Omega fats and protein. But you can obtain Omega fats and protein, from much more easily assimilated and clean sources, such as hempseed protein, hempseeds, flaxseed, walnuts, Acai, etc.

As for your breakfast, when you eat heavier foods early in the day, your body will be weighed down with digestion, which takes up to 50% of our bodies energy. You will feel more sluggish and not as clear-headed. Earlier in the day, opt for fruit! Or if you are really hungry, try the chia seed recipe I provide, as chia seeds are filling, full of nutrients, and you can eat them like a cereal with almond milk and fruit sliced on top.

All the best!

What a great post Kimberly! A great intro into a pH balancing approach to diet. More is being written about it, but it is far from everyday knowledge, so thanks for bringing this out!

Hi Aly,
Welcome to our blog community!

Stevia is an acceptable sweetener. It is very low on the glycemic index, and is not chemically manufactured, as it is an herb from South America. I personally don't like the bitter aftertaste of Stevia, so I don't use it. But if you like it go for it, it is a great alternative! I personally use raw agave nectar, which is also low on the glycemic index and tastes wonderful.

Hey Hugo. I'm not sure if you live near a big city in Brazil, but if so, maybe they carry Almond milk at a health market?? If not, grab a cheese cloth and some almonds, and follow above! It really doesn't take too long. :)
